Introduction

A nonconformity is anything that isn't right: a reel out of tolerance, a delivery without its paperwork, a carton with the wrong label. In this video, we'll log one, look at the register, and let Doctilla spot the problems that keep coming back.

The register

This is the nonconformity register. Filter by status, supplier, process, category or date, or just search. Every one you see here is a record you can open, cost, and link to the corrective action that deals with it.

Seeing the pattern

Above the list, the Pareto chart shows where nonconformities come from, by category, supplier or process. Switch from count to cost to see which ones hurt most. The monthly trend shows whether things are improving.

Logging a nonconformity

To log one, choose new NCR. Give it a short title and say what happened. Set the severity and category, and pick the supplier or process it came from. Record what you did straight away, such as quarantining the stock, and who owns it from here.

Working on an NCR

Open an NCR to work on it. From here you can add what it cost, in money or in hours, ask for a concession if you want to use the material anyway, or assign it to a corrective action when it needs a proper investigation.

Spotting repeat problems

Here's where Doctilla earns its keep. Choose suggest families, and it groups open nonconformities that look like the same problem. With AI, it also explains why they were grouped and suggests a possible common cause to check, clearly labelled as something to test, not a conclusion.

Raising a proposed CAR

If you agree, raise a proposed CAR for the family. It's a draft, not yet agreed, so it doesn't count as an open corrective action until someone accepts it. The nonconformities are linked to it, and nothing is saved for a suggestion nobody accepts.

Importing your old log

Already keep a nonconformity log in a spreadsheet? Import it as a CSV file. Doctilla matches your columns, skips anything it already has, and keeps track of each import, so you can remove one cleanly if something went wrong.

Next

That's nonconformities. Next, we'll take a corrective action all the way through the eight disciplines.

See Doctilla with your own processes

Book a 30-minute demo. We'll walk through the parts that matter to you, using a fully populated demonstration company, and answer anything you want to ask.
