Introduction
Clause six of ISO 9001 asks you to think ahead: what could go wrong, what could go better, and what you're doing about it. Doctilla keeps risks and opportunities in one register, rated and linked to the records they're about.
The register
Across the top, the open risks and opportunities, how many are rated high or very high, and how many are due for review. The heat map plots each one by likelihood and impact. Switch to residual to see where they sit once your treatment is in place.
Risks and opportunities
Below the map is the list. Opportunities sit alongside risks, because a second supplier or a better evidence pack is just as much a part of planning. Each shows its rating before and after treatment, and who owns it.
Adding a risk
To add one, describe it and give it some context. Choose the process it belongs to and who owns it. Rate the likelihood and impact from one to five, and Doctilla works out the score. Then decide how you'll treat it, write the plan, and rate it again as it will be once the plan is done.
Following a risk through
Open a risk to see the whole picture: the context, the inherent and residual ratings, and the treatment plan. Linked records show what it's connected to. Here, the two compound suppliers, and the management review that discussed it.
Next
That's risks and opportunities. Next, we'll set quality objectives, and track them with KPIs.
